Hi again, so someone linked me to this interesting "Behind the Wheel" article -> http://web.archive.org/web/19970713042927/http://www.uds.se/ignbehind.html

Not only you can see there was a (moreless) whole track not included in the final game but also an unknown car (the white one, maybe an early Banana?).

Furthermore the author talks about some editing tools that were made during the game's development.
The author seems to be Oskar Burman, the project leader if the game. Maybe we could contact him (or one of the other devs liste there -> http://www.mobygames.com/game/ignition ) and ask if it would be possible to share any scrapped game content or perhaps even the mentione editing tools? That would make the whole game 10 times more interesting if we had that stuff Very Happy

edit: fixed links

I'm really impressed. I also thought about contacting one of the game developers, but never really did that. Someone should try to do that sometime... Also that white car looks really interesting. I'm really curious now on the matter of the game.

EDIT: Well, Oskar has a Twitter account and he's active https://twitter.com/OskarBurman I think we could contact him with it.

I think, the only option about noticable (not sound change etc.) modification this legendary game is to contact this person and ask him for help.

I already tried to contact him a while ago on Twitter, no answer yet.

I also found a group on facebook that seems to consist of most of the people who worked in Unique Development Studios (UDS) which developed the game (Oskar Burman is there too).

I also tried to contact Peter Zetterberg there (apparently the founder of the company back then), but no answer yet too (and something tells me I won't get one).
Perhaps someone else can give it a shot, if enough people ask we may get a clear answer whether its possible to obtain the source code from the game or not.
